Last updated: 11/06/2026

Thank you for using the Lbaih App. We are committed to providing you with the best technology-based medical service. This “Privacy Policy” explains what information we collect, how that information is used, and the choices you can make about that information. This Policy applies whether you access the Lbaih App through iOS-based or Android-based devices or through any other method.

Additional Terms

Hamad Medical Corporation is a leading healthcare provider in the State of Qatar (hereinafter referred to as “HMC”, “we”, “our” or “us”). HMC owns and operates the HMC Lbaih Application (hereinafter referred to as “Lbaih App”). This Policy explains how HMC will collect and use information through the Lbaih App.

Information We Collect

1. Information You Provide to Us or Allow Others to Provide to Us

At various points during your use of the Lbaih App, you may provide us with information about yourself (hereinafter referred to as “Data”). For example, when you conduct an assessment with the Lbaih App, you may provide us with personal information including, but not limited to, symptoms of your illness, potential causes of your symptoms, medical history, allergies you have, and pregnancy status.

By signing in to the Lbaih App, you authorize HMC to collect, store, and process your Data for the purposes explicitly defined within this Policy. You may revoke this authorization by requesting HMC to delete your Data through the “Contact Us” option found under the Profile section in the app, signing out of the app on all of your devices, and uninstalling the app from all of your devices.

Your Data shall be deleted or irreversibly anonymized (such that it cannot be associated with a specific natural person) by HMC upon receiving and processing your request, except where we are required or permitted to retain certain records (such as payment transaction records) to comply with legal, accounting, audit, or fraud-prevention obligations, in which case we retain only the minimum necessary for the required period and then delete them. The Lbaih App may only be used by persons that are 18 years old or above. If you are under 18 years old, usage of the Lbaih App and your agreement to our “Terms of Use” require the consent of your legal guardian.

2. Technical Information About Usage of the Lbaih App

When you use the Lbaih App, we automatically receive some technical information about the hardware and software that is being used.

Pixels and Other Tracking Technologies

We may use various technologies to collect information, including pixels and device identifiers. This information will help us do things such as understand how you use the Lbaih App, personalize your experience, and remember that you are logged in to the app.

Logging Information

When you use the Lbaih App, our servers will record logging information about your usage of the app and information that is sent by your device. Logging information can include things like the IP address of your device, operating system, unique device identifiers, searches that you run on the app, and other ways you interact with the app. Some portions of this information are stored with your account information in our databases. Other portions of this information may be stored temporarily on secure logging servers for the purposes of tracking the operational health of the services provided through the Lbaih App including, but not limited to, detecting operational errors and abuse.

3. Payment Information

When you make a payment for a charged service through the Lbaih App (for example, to confirm attendance for a charged appointment, to request a medical report, or to request a medication refill), your payment is processed securely by a third-party payment gateway hosted by QNB. Your full card details are entered directly into and handled by that payment gateway, not by the Lbaih App, and QNB is responsible for the security, validation, and retention of your card data. We do not collect or store your full payment card number or your card security code (CVV). After a payment is completed, we retain a transaction record returned by the payment gateway, which includes the last four digits of your payment card and basic transaction details such as the amount, a reference, the status, and the date. We use this information to process and confirm your payment, to manage refunds, and to keep a record of your transactions, and we may retain it where required for legal, accounting, audit, or fraud-prevention purposes.

4. Location Information

When you use the appointment online check-in feature, the Lbaih App collects your device’s location in order to verify that you are physically present at the facility for your appointment. The Lbaih App requests location access only while the app is in use, and uses your location solely for check-in verification. Your location is sent to our servers, where it is processed only to confirm your presence for this check-in. It is not used to profile your movements or build a record of where you go over time. Your location coordinates may be temporarily logged on our servers for debugging purposes; these debug logs are not used to track your movements and are retained only for as long as needed for this purpose, after which they are deleted. Online check-in relies on the location access permission you grant on your device; if you choose not to grant this permission, online check-in will be unavailable and you can still check in physically at the hospital’s registration desk.
